Our Background

Image Stream Medical was founded in May 1999 with the intent of developing a suite of products targeted at minimally invasive surgery image management. Image Stream Medical introduced the first DVD burning medical video recorder to the surgical marketplace.

Over the last 10 years, we have developed the most advanced network based image management and virtual collaboration solutions to share medical video throughout the hospital enterprise in a controlled environment, facilitating HIPAA compliance.

Known for our flagship image management device, nStream® G3, and our original integration platform, MainStream® OR, ISM has successfully integrated operating rooms and procedure rooms where final projects exceeded the expectations for simplicity and ease of use.

We are excited to enter 2011 with our most recent image management platform, EasySuite™. As the healthcare industry continues to drive technology based advances in surgical techniques, OR integration has greatly evolved from simple routing of inter-operative video to a comprehensive networked visualization and image management platform demanding full integration with hospital data and electronic patient records. In addition, real-time consultation with physicians outside of the operating room, live video streaming and video conferencing capabilities are a "must have".

These advances improve clinical outcomes, provide higher levels of patient safety, and more efficient utilization of the operating room. Image Stream has focused on providing the technology platform to answer this demand and has become a premier solution provider for the control, routing, capture and management of surgical images and video, both inside the OR, and throughout the hospital network.
