Image Stream Medical Enhances nStream™ Functionality with Software Release

Image Stream Medical (ISM) has announced a software upgrade that promises to make ISM’s nStream™ the most advanced, easiest to use digital video management device for physicians, yet. nStream is the central point of focus for image management within operating and procedure rooms, providing physicians with the ability to capture, review and securely store digital video, images and annotations from procedures and exams.
nStream 3.3 provides a simplified “Done” screen which will enable physicians to finish procedures and export a copy of the digital video and images without having to make a lot of choices. The changes result in a quicker, more confident finalization of the procedure. The 3.3 software upgrade will also provide physicians with a way to de-identify exported patient records with the selection of a check box.
With the release of nStream 3.3, ISM has improved nStream’s Print Manager. Physicians upgrading to nStream 3.3 will find that they have the ability to preview the thumbnails of captured images at full size prior to selecting them for printing. These printed images are extremely beneficial to physicians when reviewing a procedure, and this added function which enables the physician to view detailed images at full size, will ensure that the images selected for printing contain the information the physician is looking to capture.
In addition to a larger preview image, nStream 3.3’s Print Manager enhancements include both portrait and landscape printing modes, along with the ability to print the images scaled to one hundred percent or scaled to fit the attached printer’s margins.
Image Stream Medical has also made enhancements to its DICOM® capabilities. nStream users with a properly configured system currently are able to search Modality Work List (MWL) servers by patient last name or ID number. Users upgrading to nStream 3.3 will enjoy the ability to search MWL servers by accession numbers as well, resulting in easier more accurate patient record selection.
