Video Playback Tools

If your computer is unable to play video captured on the ISM nStream or DVR-MD system, it is likely that your computer does not have MPEG-2 support.

MPEG-2 video compression was chosen because it provides professional broadcast quality and allows for simple file playback.

MPEG-2 Decoders typically installed on newer Windows PCs include InterVideo WinDVD and Cyberlink PowerDVD. We recommend using the Elecard decoder for best performance.

PC: Elecard provides an excellent shareware MPEG-2 software decoder. That decoder can be downloaded by clicking here and selecting Open.

For installation instructions, please click here.

Mac: Apple provides a QuickTime plug in for MPEG-2 support. To access the Apple site to download the plug in, click here.

Viewing Tips Label

Download one of the files below and print them out using Avery 8160 Address Labels. Affix the printed labels to nStream created Patient Record Discs to direct end users to the Image Stream Medical Technical Support Page if they have a question.

DVD Reading Tools

If your DVD or CD drive does not recognize the disc, use the appropriate link on the right to download a UDF Reader for your machine.

PC: Instant Read can be downloaded to allow for reading discs created by the DVR-MD system (select Open from the dialog box). For installation instructions, please click here.
An alternate UDF Reader is also available for PC when necessary. Click here to download the Roxio freeware for Windows.
Mac: Click here to purchase and download ReadDVD for Mac OS 9.2. This allows the DVD to be mounted in Classic mode, as Mac OS X does not support UDF. (Disabling the Apple Volume Access extension is required.)

Windows Media Tools

Windows DirectX 9.0 and Windows Media Player downloads are required to run the Medical Video Producer Software. These links will take you to the appropriate pages on the Microsoft.com website.
